Rally obedience is a new sport in the UK. In traditional obedience work the handler follows the commands given by a judge whereas in rally obedience a course is laid out which the dog and handler follow in a specific order.
I am currently teaching dogs in my intermediate classes rally by using the TD signs and courses. There are 3 levels of courses shown below with some example signs used on the course.
Level 1 = green,
Level 2 = blue
Level 3 = yellow
Dogs and handlers all start the course with 200 points and faults are deducted as they go along. Teams gain Good, Outstanding and Ace rosettes for achieving scores over 170, 180 and 190 respectively.
